Prevention Program

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Establishing communities proactive in promoting safe, healthy, substance free environments is an important goal of the Prevention Program of Harbor House Inc. By working with individuals, families, workplaces, schools, community and fait-based organizations the prevention programs offer education and hands-on experience to strengthen community partnerships. By increasing awareness of behavioral health issues detrimental to the community, prevention efforts promote discussion leading to action. The result will be broad based change and a healthy future for affected families. Prevention programming makes a difference!

IN UNITY IS STRENGTH

Harbor House Inc. has a long-standing history of prevention in Western Arkansas. Beginning as the first state organized prevention program in 1982, the Early Intervention Program (IEP) was the precursor to the RPP. The six counties that were initially provided services over 30 years ago are still receiving up-to-date and quality driven strategies today. By supporting the work of county coalitions, educational institutions, community and neighborhood organizations, our prevention programs foster a healthy and positive community.
